Sorry I’m late,

I saw consequences ahead,

so I took a side step

and let fate catch its breath.

No panic, no fear,

just a tasteful delay,

Had to decide if the outcome

was worth showing up anyway.

I didn’t dodge reality,

I put it on hold,

Rescheduled the chaos

so it matches my goals.

I like my choices with suspense,

a little switch in the frame,

If I can see it coming,

I lose interest in the game.
